Clientsfromhell →
Marketing people in Germany like to use the English language to give products or events an appearance of internationalism and modernity - even if their own language skills are somewhat lacking. A new client asked me to create promotional material for a camping trip on which the participants will meditate, focus on their inner strength, blah blah. Her naming idea was (in English of course)...

Wow
So, before the Buried Life’s ballsy list, there was 43things, which basically allows you to compile all the things you aspire to do but will never accomplish. I just discovered how ambitious their users are. Really, guys? Click on the first one. Taken down. I guarantee, if this were facebook, and it were a group/fan page, your news feed would be clogged up with all the updates from...

conormckeon: When I was 14 I had 320 dollars saved up from birthday money and hustling kids in various playground basketball courts throughout Worcester. (I was, at the time, a 5’8” 140 lb white kid in a catholic school uni and dress shoes with duct tape covering the holes. Poor fuckers had no clue.) I told my parents I wanted to put all the money in IMAX stock. They said no, that I should put...

Nicci Nix
Saw her on Idol tonight. She flew all the way from Florence to Frankfurt to Denver, CO - just to audition. She’s clearly not in the top 24 since the list leaked a couple days ago, but I thought she was infectious. Her vocals were infinitely better than her shrill speaking voice, but whatever. Right now, I’m just gonna latch onto Tyler Grady because the boy has swag.

He's dead
  - to put it callously. I’m probably among a not-too-small minority of kids who pick apart Catcher in the Rye and declare it’s overhyped and bemoan Holden and secretly, desperately, love. the. book. to. bits. and then go on to consume the Glass family. See you later, J.D., and thanks a million.

A harrowing conversation with Christofer Drew
We all know the kid’s a lyrical genius, but I’m about to take you into the inner workings of this prodigy’s head. The following convo is the legit precursor to ‘Trouble’, a gem of a song which you can listen to here. It puts the scrawny likes of any other composer/musical legend/rick astley to shame. Vivaldi is literally recoiling in his grave right now because...

That’s a beautiful can. Can you guess what’s in it? Oxygen. Uh huh, just when I thought marketing regular water disguised as some elixir was silly, we’ve got a personalized can of good ol’ air. Pod is, evidentally, designed to revitalize you with a breath of fresh oxygen at the modest price of $24.99. Their site has an informative step-by-step on how to use the...
